Job Description
Looking for a Part-Time PHP Laravel Backend Developer - API & ERP Support to support and enhance our ZX SaaS ERP platform. The developer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the backend using PHP Laravel, developing and integrating APIs, troubleshooting system issues, and improving database and application performance. We are looking for a practical developer with strong problem-solving and debugging skills, who can understand existing code, implement new requirements, and maintain system stability and data integrity. Remote position – 4 hours per day, 5 days per week.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the ZX ERP backend using PHP Laravel
- Develop, maintain, and integrate REST APIs
- Troubleshoot API errors and backend issues
- Develop new features according to business requirements
- Work with MySQL databases and optimize SQL queries
- Use Laravel Queues, Jobs, Events, Scheduler, and Caching when required
- Test changes before deployment to production
- Review logs and identify the root cause of system issues
- Use Git / GitHub for source-code management
- Maintain system stability and avoid breaking existing functionality
- Document APIs and important technical changes
- Work with the team to convert business requirements into technical solutions
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of practical experience with PHP and Laravel
- Good experience developing RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of MySQL / relational databases
- Good knowledge of Laravel Eloquent, Migrations, Middleware, and Validation
- Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization
- Ability to understand and maintain an existing codebase
- Experience with Git / GitHub.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of JSON, HTTP status codes, and API authentication
- Experience with ERP, accounting systems, or SaaS applications is highly preferred but not mandatory
Job Benefits
